It is a modification of the original recipe from Kuali, Malaysia recipes - Hup Toh Soh (Chinese Biscuits). i added 1 teaspoon of pineapple essence to make the cookies more fragrant, added chopped gram nuts instead of walnuts, used olive oil instead of cooking oil and excluded the egg wash (ran out of eggs :p) and they came out just fine ya~ soft, sweet & savory and melts in the mouth~
They are really easy to make ya~ i will zefinitely make them again for chinese new year~)
