Rosemount Semillon Chardonnay 2006~

A fine tasting wine to compliment a wonderful crepe lunch~

~*Rosemount Semillon Chardonnay 2006 (Australian)*~
The taste was as described on the label: It displays an aroma of lively citrus fruit from Semillon, complemented by peach & honey aromas from chardonnay. The palate is crisp with ripe tropical and melon flavours leading to a creamy, mouthfilling finish.

Fresh buttercups and japanese cucumbers, button mushrooms, scrambled eggs and tuna chunks, topped with mustard sauce.

Rosemount Chardonnay 2006~

We had this lovely Chardonnay to go along with the Japanese lunch-in. Oh, do not be mistaken, this Rosemount Chardonnay (2006) is not the same as the previous Rosemount Show Reserve Chardonnay (2006). Not only is the packaging slightly different, the taste varied alittle too.
~*Rosemount Estate Chardonnay 2006 (Australian)*~
According to the label: Peachy tropical fruit and melon characters, with a hint of citrus freshness and judiciour use of oak, ending with a long and satisfying finish. i personally prefer the Show reserve, it had a more lustrous taste and smoother feel :p

Rosemount Chardonnay~

~*Rosemount Chardonnay 2006*~
My amateur account: It had a refreshing fruity-melon smell. As for the taste? The light sweetness of the wine was easy on the palatte. A good balance between the sweetness and the alcohol content.
p.s. It didn't give me any headaches after that, phew~

Wyndham Estate~

Bottles & bottles at vivocity is a good place to enjoy a glass of wine and pick up a bottle or two from their decent selection of wines.
~*Wyndham Estate, Semillon Chardonnay (2005)*~
Hee~ here's my amateur opinion... This wine was pleasant and fruity at first sip followed by a light creamy after taste.

hmmm... some wines give me mild headache or dizzy symptoms after comsumption, i guess it may be due to the poorly balanced ethanol content in the wine.

Does anyone has an explanation for the cause of the symptoms?

Hee... my amateur comments: It's a relatively enjoyable wine... i liked the initial fruity taste but didn't quite fancy the after taste.

Yellow Tail Chardonnay~

Wine wine wine, i'm so into wine recently. Well, ain't saying that i like beer no more, i still do. It's just that i prefer wine better, 'coz it doesn't make you feel bloated. Wine have so much to offer, different types of wine, depending on the country it was produced from, the year...red...white... they all taste different.

This is an Australian Cabernet Merlot style wine, that encompasses the rich blackcurrant and cassis flavours of Cabernet Sauvignon complemented by the generous plum flavours and soft tannins of Merlot.

Bliss Resturant @ Punggol Park~

Bliss Restaurant has a wide selection of fine wines, be it red, white or ice, Australian, German, French, Chilean, South African...etc many of which are well illustrated in their menu.

~*The Arrogant Frog Chardonnay 2006 (french)*~
This was the recommended wine special of the month. It has a nice fruity and sweet smell and a slightly sweet taste. It's a great wine to enjoy while you chill out on a nice and cooling night. (Wine of the month special @ $41)

~*Calamari Caesar Salad @$7.90*~
This was alittle disappointing... The calamari had a good texture and bite but was alittle too oily... the dressing was unevenly done and excessive serving of parmesan cheese made the caesar salad way too salty...
