Chocolate Peach Cake~

This was the largest baking project for the month of May... hee... i spent half a day in the kitchen working on it. All the effort was all worth it, phew~

Before: Plain, simple and not so pretty chocolate cake...
~*Chocolate sponge cake*~

After: Mango dirt cake...hee (was trying hard not to finish the peaches when i was decorating the cake) :p

Almond Biscotti~

This was the outcome of my attempt with a different biscotti recipe...

i didn't manage to beat the egg whites till light and fluffy (eggs weren't fresh enough), therefore the biscotti were alittle hard...

Mango with Pamelo & Sago~

There is a famous dessert shop in Chinatown, Mei Heong Yuen, which is located near the 24 hours MacDonald's Chinatown outlet. They have both chilled and warm desserts. The Mango with Pamelo & Sago (chilled) is one of their signature desserts.
~*Mango with Pamelo & Sago*~

Can you see the chunks of fresh mango cubes? It costs $3 for a bowl of nice, refreshing dessert, that is sweet with a slight tinge of sourness from the pamelo. If you prefer hot desserts, they serve walnut cream, almond cream, black sasame cream...etc...

Thunder Tea Rice (Maxwell Market)~

The first time i tried Hakka Thunder Tea Rice (Lei Cha Fan) was at Vivocity's Food republic and i loved it. Today, i was surveying the stalls at the Maxwell Market when i saw... Stall no. 86, Hakka Thunder Tea Rice. It was simply delicious! The friendly uncle even taught me how to enjoy the dish, Hakka style, that is to mix the rice and ingredients together, pour some green tea over, mix well before savouring the wonderful dish.
~*Thunder Tea Rice*~

It costs $2.50 for a Thunder Tea Rice set (comes with a bowl of green tea soup) and $3 for the brown rice option. It is a healthy dish with a nice mix of vegetables, beancurd, roasted peanuts...etc.

Bailey’s Coffee Liquer Cheese Tarts~

My first baked product after the long break from the "baking world"~

There was supposed to be a swirl effect, but i added too much of the chocolate cheese batter, so... it turned out like that. It tastes better then it looks, really! :p

~*Century Egg Porridge*~

The Soup Spoon~

Finally had a chance to dine at The Soup Spoon (The Market Place, Raffles city). The highlight of the place is none other then their variety of soups. Apart from that, they serve sandwiches, wraps and salads to complete the meal. With an addition of $3.70, each soup (regular or grande) order can be upgraded to a SouperValue Combo meal (half sandwich/wrap/salad + a beverage or snack).

~*Tangy Tomato Soup*~
The soup was served with a yummie soft herb roll. Don't underestimate the soup serving, i was about 90% full by the time i finished the soup.

~*Herbed Caesar Chicken*~
i was alittle disappointed with the sandwich, both the bread and the chicken were kinda dry.

~*Ding Dong*~ next stop, watering hole~
