Mini Sesame Star Bread~

Little mini bread bites, once you start, it's kinda hard to stop...

These mini savoury treats are bread-like soft on the inside and are best enjoyed during breakfast or during tea with a cup of hot milo or hot chocolate :p~

Recipe

Ingredients

  • 120 g Cake flour
  • 60 g Bread flour
  • 20 g Corn flour
  • 5 g Yeast
  • 1/2 tsp Bicarbonate soda
  • 1 tsp Coffee emulco
  • 1/2 tsp Common salt
  • 1 Tbs White sesame seed
  • 2 Tbs Black sesame seed
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 25 g Margarine (soften)
  • 120 ml Warm water

Method

  1. Sieve the bread flour, cake flour and corn flour into a mixing bowl. Add in the yeast, bicarbonate soda, salt, pepper, chilli powder, sesame seeds and stir to mix well.
  2. Add in the coffee emulco, margarine and water. Mix well to form a dough and knead it for 5 minutes till dough becomes elastic and smooth.
  3. Using a rolling pin roll and flatten the dough to about 3 mm in height. Using a cookie cutter, cut out the dough into desired shapes.
  4. Place them onto a baking tray lined with grease proof paper and bake in a preheated oven at 190 degree celsius for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool for 1 to 2 minutes before serving. Best enjoyed when their warm.
