My first Kuishin-Bo experience~ Reservations were full, so we had to walk-in and try our luck at the counter. Dinner starts at 5.30pm but when we arrived at 5.10 pm, there was already a line of 12 people and the numbers grew as it approached 5.30pm...
i was simply amazed by the large variety of authentic japanese food such as sashimi, seafood, sushi, yakitori, tempura, desserts...etc.. In addition, their hourly specials which was alerted by the sound of the familiar jingle, "Tom Tom Tom, 1,2,3, we are Kuishin-Bo..., and their prompt and friendly service made the buffet dinner session a fun, enjoyable and memorable experience.
~*Starters*~
Sashimi, prawns, crab, mussel and clam, cold tofu and seafood salad. My favourite was the succulent prawns. The crab was really popular amongst the diners, a must try for all!
~*Beef Paper Hot Pot and Cha Soba*~
The soup was clear but tasty and the beef was well marinated and tender. i love the "Q-ness" of the Cha soba accompanied with the fagrant and refreshing sauce, garnished with spring onions and seaweed.
~*Teppanyaki & Tempura*~
Oop! i was too preoccupied with the creamy salmon and tender juicy beef teppanyaki, and the assortment of tempuras, only to realise that i had forgotten to take a picture of them after the waiter cleared the plates. :x
~*Miso Soup*~
Just look at the amount of ingredients in the soup! i loved the miso soup, it was very tasty :p~
~*Hourly Special*~
Creamy cheese slippler lobster from the teppanyaki counter. It was limited to the first 20 customers at the teppanyaki counter. Alert and seasoned diners were already queued up at the counter just before they played their jingle and the sounded the bell.
~*Hot Sake @ $7++*~
Hot sake anyone? The buffet comes with soft drinks, hot coffee and an assortment of lipton tea. However alcoholic drinks such as beer, sake or wine were not inclusive in the buffet and had to be ordered separately.
~*Desserts*~
Assortment of cakes, mousse, chocolates, tarts, fruits, mochi, pancake, ice cream...
~*Hourly Special*~
An in-house dessert special, Chocolate mousse and banana slices wrapped in soft crepe, served with fresh cream and strawberry.
By the time we billed at the counter, it was around 8.20pm. We spent a whopping total of 170 minutes eating! My goodness! Okiez... time to workout and shed the excess calories... :p
