Early this morning, i was awakened by the sound of the chopping board... my mum was dicing a yam in the kitchen, she was making orh nee!!! It's been a long time since she made orh nee ya. My mum's orh nee is a healthier version, no oil was added, though it's not as smooth as the traditional orh nee, it's still delicious and satisfying ya :)
Firstly, my mum boiled the diced yam cubes in a pot of water to soften the yam. Next, she mashed them up, added some sugar (not sure how much she added, just alittle to taste), fresh milk and mix well.

The good thing about making your own orh nee is that you get adjust the sweetness of the orh nee and add in anything your like~ keke... i added some chopped almonds and just 1 ginkgo nut.
